This book is an excellent overview of most of the various monarchies around the world. 53 different countries are profiled (but note that France is subdivided into "The Royal House" and "The Imperial House" because of competing claims to the throne; while Germany is subdivided into Bavaria, Hanover, Prussia, Saxony, and Wurttemberg, since there is more than one royal 5/5(1).
