International Clinical Electives. Introduction. The Office of International Medicine Programs (IMP) provides opportunities for medical students from abroad to experience a medical system other than their own. IMP has developed a diverse network of international affiliates to provide rotation placements and assist students in approving rotations. The cost of Clinical rotation in USA is quite high. Hence, many students opt for multi country clinical rotations as per Green Book. The Indian students need to complete 5 Trimesters / 80 weeks of clinical rotation in USA. The students can do their core rotation in USA and can split the elective rotations in 2 .

Third year undergraduate medical education students are given 5 weeks of elective time, while fourth year students may use up to 32 weeks of the academic year for electives.
